Already regarded as one of the modern greats of the sport, Trump’s most recent campaign pushed the boundaries of performance and consistency in professional snooker. His dominant run included victories at the Shanghai Masters, the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters, and the UK Championship, along with finals appearances at three other events and a semi-final finish at the World Championship.
Perhaps most impressively, Trump delivered a record 107 century breaks across the season and earned £1.68 million in prize money, the highest single-season total in the sport’s history. These achievements secured his position at the top of the Johnstone’s Paint World Rankings by a wide margin.
This marks the fourth time Trump has been named WST Player of the Year, having previously won the accolade three years in a row from 2019 to 2021.
In addition to the WST award, Trump was also voted the Fans’ Player of the Year, by fans across the UK and China, and won the Magic Moment of the Year, for his unforgettable match-winning clearance in the 10–9 final against Mark Williams at the Saudi Masters.
